When Coolidge wrote that quote women's persistence wasn't considered as important. However, I'm sure that if Coolidge was writing/saying that today he would have used the word people and not just men. Dan you are right I should have used the word “men” with [sic] after it.
When Coolidge wrote that quote women’s persistence wasn’t considered as important.

However, I’m sure that if Coolidge was writing/saying that today he would have used the word people and not just men.
