These photos are of Koalas suffereing from the heat of the Victorian Bush Fires. These gorgeous little ones are the lucky ones. Just like the humans who were tragically killed, so was much of our wild life.
Whether you have given to the Red Cross to help the human victims of these fires or not, please also think about the animal victims.
People from all over the workd have contributed to the Red Cross and over $200 million has been raised – which is wonderful. But with well in excess of $200 million, surely $1million of that could go to the animals.
But that is not the case and so they too need your help.

Their volunteers are passionately committed, but they desperately need financial help for feed, shelter, veterinary help and rehabilitation. So any contributions there would be invaluable.
Just one koala in care costs around $400 per week and rehabilitation can take many months before the koala can be successfully released back to its natural habitat.
Wildlife Victoria will need on-going funds for many many month to help the animals who would not be able to understand what was going on. Please help them. Thank You
Now I know you’ll enjoy the pictures.
But first, keep in mind, that Koalas are normally nocturnal, those claws that help them climb trees can also rip people apart, they are normally very timid, and the myth is that they don’t drink water. All those characteristics are out the window at desperate times like these, as the photos demonstrate.
I just love that photo, with his little “hands” hangng on to the side of the bowl.
Again, no matter where in the world you are – please help the native animal victims by giving to
