Our Ascension: is it all over, all-ready?

in 2012 Affect-Mayan Calendar, Latest Summary, Raising Love Consciousness, Spiritual Changes

As part of the preparation for my Embracing 2012 – audio gift (sign up on the right to ensure that you get your copy), I found myself studying the work of a very special woman called Karen Bishop.

I speak about Karen and her work on the audio. Most of what she talks about has come from her own experiences coupled with a life-long psychic gift.

Karen doesn’t really speak about 2012 and the Mayan calendar, as such. Most of her work is designed to help us understand the “ascension” process. As I say in my audio, I’m not a great fan of using the term “ascension” because I think we have, in general, too many socio-cultural concepts of what that term can mean.

However, in this current context, and in its simplest form, “ascension” is used to talk about the significant shift in consciousness taking us to a new way of living.

One of the many things that I’ve found so interesting about Karen’s work is that in a number of her books, she speaks about the so-called symptoms of the ascension process. I for one am right up there with experiencing many of these symptoms which include things like:

  • Feeling over stretched almost beyond endurance;
  • Many emotional ups and downs, strange physical aches and pains, many losses in the form of friends, jobs, family, finances, and much of anything else;
  • A move to a new geographical location;
  • Feeling uncomfortable by those who are acting in a less than spiritual way;
  • Finding that the only way to stay sane is to be home in your own personal sanctuary;
  • Finding it increasingly difficult to spend substantial amounts of time around individuals who seem dis-connected, or “ego” driven;
  • Experiencing strange and disturbing nightmares that are not normal for you.

 You can read more about these symptoms and dozens of others on Karen’s website – http://www.emergingearthangels.com  and also in her books including, The Ascension Companion.

And even though I generally like to see something a little more concrete than just “psychic messages” of what might be happening at this time, there is something about Karen’s work which intuitively, as well as logically, makes sense to me.

The thing that I find interesting is that I’m very drawn to her work despite it being quite different to the general stories that abound at the moment. Sure the underpinning foundation of a shift in consciousness, that everyone speaks about, is still there. But she differs significantly in the details.

And so I’d like to briefly share her overall perspective on this time and our “ascension”.

IT BEGAN IN 2000

Karen Bishop claims that, globally, we began to move to higher levels of consciousness, in a significant way, in 2000. And I can certainly attest to the fact that I have ‘felt’ and experienced through my work and life experience a major global increase in consciousness over the past 10+ years.

Obviously, many of us have being growing spiritually for decades. But as a global phenomenon, a major shift began in earnest in 2000 with those who had reached a certain level of consciousness and spiritual evolution “ascending” at that time.

I talk more about this in my audio when I speak about the undeniable socio-cultural evidence of change that we can see every day in our communities, and also via the TV news. Even though the nightly TV news is rarely inspiring, it does demonstrate, albeit in a non-spiritual way, much that is going on in the world.

The initial movement of souls in 2000 was to prepare the way for more arrivals as the time became right for them to move, or ascend. In her 2010 publications, Karen says that the critical mass of evolved souls occurred in September 2009. At this time, the major ascension was completed.

Interestingly, September 2009 was a very significant time in my life, because it heralded the letting go of everything in my life that was not completely spiritually motivated.

If anything special or significant happened to you last September, or there abouts, I love you to share your experience in the comments box on this post.  Just click on the heading and then scroll down.

EVERYONE “ASCENDED”

 When speaking about ascension, Karen uses the perfect metaphor of rungs on a ladder. She suggests that in September last year there were sufficient people on high enough rungs of the ladder for the change to occur. And at that time, “in a twinkling of an eye” as it says in the Bible, we moved from our old Earth to a parallel Earth.

Now for some people, the idea of a parallel Earth might sound REAL flaky indeed. However, quantum physicists, including Einstein, have been telling us about a parallel Earth for years. If you saw the movie What The Bleep you would have seen how easy is was to step from one ‘world’ to the other.

And of course the title “What the Bleep” came about because what they were saying seemed so unbelievable. Just change the word “bleep” for any expletive that you care to use.

OK – so just ride with me here for a minute. Just suspend any disbeliefs if you have them.

 WOW, if you think that a parallel Earth is wild, I hope you’ll join me on my Open Line call on Monday/Tuesday when I attempt to justify the intervention on Earth of entities from outer space, when I talk about Crop Circles!

And of course, the Open Line calls are designed so that we can discuss different points of view.

BUT BACK TO THE ASCENSION

 So, as the story goes, last September everyone ascended, no matter what rung of the ascension ladder that they were on.

 The role of those on the higher rungs is obviously to help those on the lower rungs to understand what is going on, and in turn, to help them climb that very special ladder.

Karen certainly doesn’t claim to be on the top rung of the ladder. And neither do I. But last September it became 100% clear to me that my purpose on this planet is to help others climb that ladder of spiritual and consciousness evolution. And that’s what my Raising Love Consciousness and Embracing 2012 work is all about.

But I can only show you various ways of climbing the ladder – I don’t believe that there is only ONE way to climb. Further, I can only show those who want to look and learn. I certainly cannot come down to the lower rungs and attempt to push you up. We each have to do our own climbing.

And if we ALL did indeed “ascend” to Earth 2, last September, there will be many people on Earth 2 who have not even started to climb that ladder.

There will be many who have no interest in doing the necessary work to climb the ladder.

And there will be yet others who think that the whole thing is so far fetched that they don’t even want to hear any more about a ladder of evolution.

In my Embracing 2012 audio-gift, which is coming to you as soon as I can possibly get it to you, I talk more about what the various 2012 stories say about those who are not interested in climbing the ladder.

Meanwhile, I hope that you’ll join me on my Open Line Teleseminar/Webcast on Monday/Tuesday – see notice above – so that we can discuss some of these ideas.

As I said, I am very drawn to these stories of Karen’s, but that doesn’t mean that I am not totally open to as many different and diverse stories as possible.

I’m not here to impose any one particular idea or story on anyone. I’ve said on many occasions that as a philosopher I am here to explore a range of different opinions, and then look for the positives and also the holes in each story. And as I continue to research the many, many stories that are out there, I’ll present them to you so that we can discuss them on the open line calls and/or here on my blog.

But even if Karen is right and the ascension did occur last September, and we did move from Earth 1 to Earth 2. That doesn’t mean that we can relax and forget about the changes.

Well relax a bit, maybe. But forget about the changes, no.

There are still a lot more geophysical changes to occur, as I talk about on my Embracing 2012 audio-gift. Just look at the Chilean earthquake, only yesterday.

And it also means that if we want to feel as if we fit in on Earth 2 – a planet vibrating at a much higher level of consciousness than our old Earth 1 – then we had better continue to climb that ladder of evolution. All the time, shining a light ahead for those on the lower rungs.

NOTE: On the Home page of her website, Karen’s talks about the end of 2008 as being the time of the ascension, but in her more recent publications, she speaks about the major transition occurring in September 2009.

Bye the way, I am in no way affiliated with Karen and do not receive compensation in any form for promoting her work or her products. I will always tell you if I promote something from which I receive an affiliate commission.

Hi Kashonia,

I found this article to be particularly fascinating because as Karen discussed the physical symptoms of “ascension,” I realized I had experienced many of these symptoms and wondered if what I was feeling could be part of this shift. I am a transformational coach, an entrepreneur, jewelry designer, singer and Reiki Master. I also have an MBA from Harvard Business School. I searched for my purpose for many years and then a few years ago I KNEW that my purpose was to help others find theirs. I’ve been melding all of my talents and “gifts” for over 30 years in preparation to help others find their special purpose. I am continually developing customized processes for my clients which I use myself. Although I was aware this new consciousness was taking place, I wasn’t fully aware of all the associated physical symptoms.

I want to tell you about a dream I had last autumn because it directly relates to this topic of ascension and I think it might help those within your network who are experiencing personal or professional difficulty. It was not a nightmare but it was dark… I was climbing the steps of a dark tower. There was no light in the tower. I had almost reached the top when I decided to go back down. I was a little hesitant and sad to turn back. After all, I had climbed all this way. I was trying to get to the light but something held me back and urged me to return to the bottom. Then I realized I had left the people I loved behind and I had to bring them with me. I didn’t want to reach the top by myself. I wanted my family and friends to be with me when I got to the top. I had to go back down and bring them back up with me.

When I awoke, I thought about this dream and its possible significance in my life. I realized the work I’m doing is perfectly timed in my life to help bring others into a new consciousness as well. It’s not just about me or my purpose, it never has been. It’s about being part of a bigger puzzle. Each of us is an important part of that puzzle with a special role to play. We are all intricately connected. Any missing piece effects the whole puzzle. That particular dream last autumn inspired me to “play” bigger and share my gifts and talents with more people. Because I have a growing family, I’d been growing my healing jewelry business slowly and was doing some healing and coaching, but suddenly I was inspired to expand my coaching business to reach more people. I became more motivated to reach out and connect with others in ways I had never attempted before. As I began to do this, I began to see that as my energetic vibration was increasing and shifting, it was shifting others too. So my husband’s and children’s and friends’ and clients’ attitude and vibration also began to shift just by being around me.

The reason I tell you all this is because even those of us who have been working in the healing fields can find this process a little unsettling when it affects us personally and affects those around us too. We think we’ve arrived and something happens to “gift” us with another lesson in climbing the stairs. I’ve learned to take these unsettling experiences in stride and simply say,”Hmm, I wonder what gift is in this experience for me?” I usually get an answer in some form or another, whether it’s a thought, an email, a telephone call or an article in the news. I urge my family, friends and clients to ask themselves the same thing. I try to be an observer and I coach my clients and friends to take the time to act from a higher inner guidance or inspiration. This process has prompted me to talk more openly with my family, friends and clients about what’s happening in the economy and globally from an energetic and spiritual perspective They are so grateful to know that they’re not going crazy; it is part of a bigger picture. There are specific things they can do too, specific actions they can take to smooth out the experiences and learn from them as a willing participant as opposed to a reluctant victim. In other words, you don’t have to sit on the sidelines and watch as things “happen” to you. You can take back some control in your life and learn to navigate through it and with harmony and joy. It all starts with the way you think about things.

So the point of this post is to encourage your network: Don’t be afraid to talk about the things going on in your life, even if it’s embarrassing to talk about your finances or your job or your relationships. Seek out help from others. Chances are, someone you know has already gone thorough this. You can learn from their experience. You owe it to yourself to begin to trust yourself, to take care of yourself because you are the only one who lives your life. Share your stories with others because in doing so, you not only help yourself, you also help your friends and family “shift” to a different perspective. You help them make that shift to a new consciousness. You help them connect with something more expansive. You give them hope and peace of mind too. Every bit of it makes a difference and we all move up together even if it’s one baby step at a time.

Blessings, Kathryn McKinnon

Hi Kashonia, I just discovered your website. I also had the September 2009 experience as a culminating point of 2 years of loss in the form of the ending of various friendships, the end of a 7 year relationship with my ex-fiance, 2 close family members passing away, financial loss, and I moved to a new geographic location. AND, I just recently lost my job. I have lived in the US for the past 10 years and recently moved to Puerto Rico, where I was born and raised.

I am 27 years old. Reading this post about the symptoms of “ascension” has resonated with me. I have had all these symptoms. I have wondered at the synchronicity of so many losses at once. I have wondered why the slate was swept so clean. I do not have answers. It has been a pretty rough 2 years. I have had to send my ego to the backseat to survive. I have thrown my hands up in the air and accepted what I have no control over.

I have noticed that after all these changes I do not have the energy for actions that are not in line with what I believe and what I truly want. I literally feel the energy leaving my body when I start to move in a direction that is not in line with my truth. Right now, I just go with the flow- it is all I have energy for.
