Today I had a wonderful time speaking with my dear friends Drs. Judith Sherven and Jim Sniechowski about their new book The Heart of Marketing: Love Your Customers and They Will Love You Back.
I mentioned the book on my show in Mid-May when it was first released and after my critical review on the show a couple of weeks ago of the workshop that I went to in March, I thought it was an appropriate time to look at the positive side of running a business.
The other reason that I wanted to talk about the book was that it was only recently that I received my copy and read it. And whilst I knew it would be a good book; I didn’t realise HOW good it would be.
As you might know, I am currently preparing for my (much delayed) launch of The Learning Loving and Laughing Project – I’ll put up a separate post about this shortly. Currently, I’m at the stage of setting up the project’s website. And I have all these little Post-It notes marking the pages of Judith’s & Jim’s book that I must return to as I get to different stages of my launch.
Also, if you are starting a business or important project of some kind, there are many thought provoking questions and activities throughout the book to help you get clear on what you are doing and why. All this ensures that you’re on the right track.
I know that I did get a bit over the top at times talking about the book. But I can assure you it came from the heart. By now you should be aware that I speak my mind whether it is to criticize something or to praise it.
And Jim and Judith’s book The Heart of Marketing is DEFINITELY Praiseworthy.
