I was so saddened to hear that Mr Rohn had passed on.  He was the sort of person that you expect will never die.  He should always be around.

It was in 1980, that I was fortunate enough to attend the first of many seminars and workshops presented by Mr. Rohn, here in Australia, where he confirmed my intuitive beliefs and attitudes relating to leadership and working with people.

After one of those workshops, Mr Rohn stayed behind to talk with me.  That conversation led to me working with one of his Australian promoters after he recommended that they hire me.  It wasn’t that I needed a job at the time, I went after the position purely so that I could continue to attend every live and recorded workshop and seminar and learn as much from him as I could, as often as I could.

I ended up seeing, and hearing on tape, his Challenge to Succeed seminar so many times that I could have given it myself, verbatim, complete with vocal inflections.

As he’s done with so many others over the years, it was Mr. Rohn who totally changed my life and set me on the road to following my heart, and inspiring me to follow my dreams and passions, and inspiring me to inspire others.

However, probably the most life-changing thing Mr Rohn did for me was to start me on my road to “readin’ readin’ readin’” any books I could find on Leadership, Personal Development, Motivation, Inspiration, and the list goes on.

Prior to that, I’d hardly read even ONE book of any kind.  At school I used to interview 3 of my friends about the books we had to read for English exams and then base my examination answers on the interviews I done.  That’s how much I hated reading.  I left school at 15 in 9th grade.  Today, because of Mr Rohn’s inspirational words, I have a personal library in excess of 20,000 books and a PhD.

My greatest regret is that I’m writing this now, and not when he was still with us to read it.  But maybe he’ll still read it in some way.
