in 1. Healthy Life Radio-Stories & Sustainability, Latest Summary, Making A Difference to our World

Ben told us all about how he’s developed a technique for making recycled, sustainable, environmentally-friendly jewellery.  Yes recycled jewellery not remodelling second hand jewellery, but actually turning waste metals into brand new jewellery.

Ben has always had a great concern for our environment.  However, he started out as a traditional jeweller, then some years ago, whilst living in England, felt that there must be a more environmentally friendly and sustainable way to produce jewellery.

Today he is now able to combine his love of, and concern for, nature, with his talents as the maker of fine jewellery.

In today’s interview you’ll hear Ben sharing how his techniques differ from traditional jewellery making; and the affects making  jewellery can have on the environment.

As well as making a range of ”recycled” jewelry with distribution outlets in a number of countries including Australia, USA, and Japan, Ben also teaches other jewelers his sustainable techniques.

Ben also told us about a special community of jewellers all working to make their art as sustainable, and environmentally-friendly as possible.  You can contact this community at www.KitandCaboodle.ning.com

Hello, great blog. I just want to leave a note to let everyone know about our fabulous paper beads.
Mzuribeads have been individually hand rolling beads from recycled paper to make unique beads and jewellery from the village of Ndejje in Uganda for over three years. I would like everyone interested in the art of rolling paper beads to visit our website, where you can locate a stockist near you or goto our online shop to buy our loose paper beads and paper bead jewellery. http://www.mzuribeads.com Thank you, Kirstie
