A gift for you to read and reflect upon

Cracked Pots
An elderly Chinese woman had two large pots, each hung on the ends of a pole which she carried across her neck.
One of the pots had a crack in it while the other pot was perfect and always delivered a full portion of water.
At the end [...]

You have been telling people this is the Eleventh Hour.
Now you must go back and tell the people that this is THE Hour.
Here are the things that must be considered:

After one of those workshops, Mr Rohn stayed behind to talk with me. That conversation led to me working with one of his Australian promoters after he recommended that they hire me. It wasn’t that I needed a job at the time, I went after the position purely so that I could continue to attend every live and recorded workshop and seminar and learn as much from him as I could, as often as I could.

… the Universe saw fit for me to move house yet again. It’s the 2nd time in about 5 months. This time it was TOTALLY unexpected. And not at all wanted.
On a material and physical plain, like all house moves it’s been pretty terrible and I am still surrounded with boxes. It’s also meant that I got very behind in my blog posting.
But I’ve also discovered that this move has taken me to a new level of spiritual insight. It’s all quite amazing. I really do feel like a different person. …

Hello,
If you’re a regular visitor to my blog you will realise that for a little while there my weekly radio show posts got very behind.
I was going just fine until my 2 week trip to the States.
When I returned home I had to start a move of house exercise.  And time went downhill from there.
But [...]

Again, as I’ve already mentioned, I am currently travelling overseas and will be back in Australia on Monday March 30th.
And once I return, I have all sorts of things starting, resuming, and news to share about forthcoming projects.
One of the projects on the “to-do” list when I get home, will be to complete a course on [...]

This is Australia’s most iconic poem.  And describes Australia all too well.
It was written by a homesick 22 year old Australian woman, Dorothea MacKellar, which she was on a trip in London in 1904.
Next to Waltzing Matilda, it is arguably the most important cultural piece of Australian literature.
My Country

The love of field and coppice
Of green and shaded [...]

The first time I read this wonderfully inspiring story was in a paper written by one of my MBA students some years ago.  Needless to say, the paper was on storytelling.  Since then, I’ve seen it on a number occasions, in a number of different forums. It tells of a mother and her daughter who [...]

One of my favorite quotes comes from the 30th President of the USA, Calvin Coolidge, who said:
Nothing in this world can take the place of persistence. Talent will not; nothing is more common than unsuccessful people with talent. Genius will not; unrewarded genius is almost a proverb. Education will not; the world is full of [...]

Autobiography In Five Short Chapters
(attributed to Portia Nelson – From: Sogyal Rinpoche,
The Tibetan Book of Living and Dying)
Chapter I
I walk down the street.
There is a deep hole in the sidewalk
I fall in.
I am lost … I am helpless.
It isn’t my fault.
It takes me forever to find a way out.
Chapter II
I walk down [...]

Our Deepest Fear

Our Deepest Fear
from the 1994 Inaugural Speech of Nelson Mandela; Originally from Marianne Williamson
Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate.
Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure.
It is our light, not our darkness, that most frightens us.
We ask ourselves; ‘who am I to be; brilliant, gorgeous, talented, and fabulous’?
Actually, who are [...]

You can read about my Internet journey on the special page here I’ve set aside to tell that story. However, during my journey I was reminded of a life-lesson that I learned many years ago. And it’s worth sharing here.
Many people speak of the importance of persistence in any endeavor that we’re serious about. One [...]

As this blog is now my home and the hub of all of my activities I had to have section where I could write about my non-business thoughts and views. Most of the things here and in it’s sub-categories will probably have nothing to do with my business activities. But they will let you [...]

When I started up my very first web site I had a page on it called Inspirational Messages. That page was for pieces that I read that were really special. As that page on that site no longer exists, and this blog is now where I live, I wanted to put the Inspirational [...]
