INTERVIEW – October 28th, 2009 Arjuna explained that one of the greatest benefits of this time is a return to ourselves. It dissolves the feeling of separation within ourselves; and also between ourselves and others and can transform our life in many ways especially with regard to relationships. Arjuna also divulges his personal beliefs about this time on our planet; what is happening, and what we should do about it. The key to this time, he says, is to be of genuine service and contribution to others.

When I bought my copy, I ended up with all these little Post-It notes marking the pages of Judith’s & Jim’s book that I must return to as I get to the different stages of my website launch. As expected, an Insightful and Inspiring Call with Dr. Jean Houston – she also shares the source of her passion for cooking In this wonderful call, Jean explained how we are all going through the birth of a completely new era, such as the world has not known before. She discussed how vital it is for us all to work on developing and moving to higher levels of consciousness so that we'll be in harmony with this new Earth of ours. Interesting Sidebar – the Gremlins Then I began to hear a 3rd person on the line. It took me a few moments to realize that I was getting the most incredible amount of feedback every time I spoke. Thank goodness it was only happening from my end and so the replay is fine. However, let me share with you the MOST amazing thing of all. After the call, I was tidying up my desk and I found 5 long crystals with their terminals pointing toward the phone, under the papers on my desk. And it was obviously the crystals that had amplified my voice on the phone to give me the feedback. I'd been playing with the crystals the night before and hadn't thought about what I was doing in putting them near the phone. Just shows how powerful crystals really are.
DR JEAN HOUSTON Jean has worked intensively in 40 cultures and 100 countries helping to enhance and deepen their own uniqueness while they become part of the global community. Her ability to inspire and invigorate people enables her to readily convey her vision, which is for the finest possible achievement of the individual potential. Both Capitalism and Socialism are now totally outdated and need to be replaced by Caring Economics Dr Riane Eisler spoke about "Caring Economics", the subject of her latest book – The Real Wealth of Nations. Today, we must focus on a feminine partnership model of interaction. She said that so many of the emails that she receives, from both men and women, say that they find the new message of caring, nonviolence, and support for nature is extremely empowering and shows them the way that the world can indeed change from the old model to the new model of consciousness.
DR RIANE EISLER She obtained degrees in sociology and law from the University of California, taught pioneering classes on women and the law at UCLA, and now teaches in the Transformative Leadership Program at the California Institute of Integral Studies. She is a founding member of the General Evolution Research Group (GERG), a fellow of the World Academy of Art and Science, and World Business Academy, a Councilor of the World Future Council, and together with the Dalai Lama and other spiritual leaders, she’s a commissioner of the World Commission on Global Consciousness and Spirituality. Riane, is the only woman among 20 great thinkers including Hegel, Adam Smith, Marx, and Toynbee selected for inclusion in Macrohistory and Macrohistorians in recognition of the lasting importance of her work as a cultural historian and evolutionary theorist. She's probably best known to the general public for her International bestseller The Chalice and The Blade: Our History, Our Future, now in 23 foreign editions.

Dean shared his experiences of working in cancer centers and told us how he discovered that it is love that does indeed heal.

Free Energy, Evidence of UFOs, and the Global Grid System, are all discussed This audio is included in Elevate Your Consciousness Retired commercial airline Captain Bruce Cathie shared some of his amazing experiences of seeing UFOs flying with him in the sky. These experiences led to his on-going research into UFOs, free energy systems, harmonics, the global harmonic grid, and so much more. Bruce Cathie is internationally recognized as a leader in these fields of research. Bruce briefly spoke about free energy which could power our homes, businesses, and cars; and why the powers-that-be do not want us to have it. He also explained that in general, the scientific community know a great deal more about these topics than they are willing, or perhaps allowed, to share with us. Bruce believes that the scientific community is actually receiving a great deal of knowledge from these extra dimensional entities. He also explained how he discovered that atom bombs can only be detonated in a window which relates to the relative motion between the Earth and the Sun. This theory has been tested and also acknowledged by many. At the end of the call, after Bruce left us, there is about 20 minutes of general discussion from callers who were on the teleseminar listening in.
CAPTAIN BRUCE CATHIE Back in 1952, when Bruce began his career as a commercial airline pilot, he and some friends, began to see UFOs in the Auckland region of New Zealand. He continued to see UFOs throughout his flying career. In 1981, he retired as a commercial pilot but has never stopped researching UFOs. His life-long research in this area led him to discover the harmonic Global Grid System, and to writing a number of books on his research findings.

So Australian researcher, Robert Martin, agreed to return to continue our discussion.
INTERVIEW – February 22nd, 2010 Robert explained how everything on the planet is interconnected and is also on a specific Divine plan or Cosmic schedule so that both global and personal events will occur no matter what we do, or don’t do, about them. He offered some fascinating and very thought provoking examples of the symbolism in certain numbers, levels of vibration and consciousness, spiritual-energy, and the quantum-leap awaiting us as we move from the current level of consciousness to the next level.
INTERVIEW – March 8th, 2010 He also spoke about various cosmic influences, and how anything that happens globally on a macro level will also happen to us on a micro personal level. Later Robert touched on the metaphorical pyramid in each of us and how it relates to both our chakra system and the symbolic days and nights that Calleman speaks of.
ROBERT MARTIN Robert left home at 21 and went sailing on a 46ft yacht to visit both the pyramids in Egypt and the Greek Acropolis. This ocean experience taught him to navigate by the stars through which he developed a fascination for the world beyond our planet, Earth. He was an engineer on a 6,000 ton floating drilling-rig which was engaged in the exploration of core samples from the Pacific Ocean. These core samples showed him the physical changes to our planet going back into our distant past. From there he spent 5 years studying the essence of spirituality with a “Yellow Hat” Tibetan Lama. A life-long learner, Robert moved on to studying a range of topics from quantum physics, astrology, and the ancient texts, to global harmonic Maths and its application to our world, and beyond our world.

Do you have a proper understanding of the amazing Crop Formations that occur each year & what they mean to us? I have always loved the concept of crop circles and formations. However, in relatively recent years I began to study these phenomena and developed some convictions that the “genuine” formations are indeed formed to send us a message of what is currently happening on our planet today and, more importantly, what lies ahead for us. So in this talk I share some of my findings including: a bit on the history of crop circles and where they are found; the increasing complexity in designs; some amazing stories of crop circle appearance – almost on command; the difference between “genuine” crop circles and hoax circles made by humans; and much more. One of the stories I shared was of a formation that appeared in 2008, which is said to be an exact model of what our Solar System will be like in December 2012. This formation then changed a few days later indicating a major change to Earth that might occur around that time. This is a topic that I really love, and love talking about, because, like so many other things associated with this time on our planet, there is a lot more to these formations than most people are open-minded enough to realize. The call concludes with some amazing stories from some of our listeners.

What do the Hopi really say about this time – find out now John shares with us the Hopi story for moving into what they call the 5th World, which is now at hand; and what we need to do to prepare for this change. This is such a very special talk in which John, interpreting the Hopi story, explains this as a time of purification as we resolve our life imbalances that have occurred as a result of following our own will instead of that of the Great Spirit; and how only the purified will go into the 5th dimension. John explains how, whoever we are when we knock on the metaphoric door into the next dimension that we will be different after we go through that door. And how we are all being called upon to be agents of change. This is definitely one of my favorite interviews; one that can be listened to many, many times, and certainly one of the most popular interviews for 2010. And when you hear it you’ll realize why.
JOHN KIMMEY In the 1970s, he became a student and traveling companion of the late Hopi Prophet and village leader, David Monongye. Then at the request of the elders, John came to live with the Hopi to assist them in a communication effort which reached out to the United Nations and many other world leaders. Whilst with the Hopi, he also developed and taught a curriculum for their Community School. Then the Hopi Elders urged John to protect native food crops. And so he returned to his previous home in Santa Fe and founded an organization to collect and conserve native food crops of the Southwest. This non-profit educational and research center established a community seedbank of over 600 varieties of native cultivars. And in 1984, his Center received the United Nations Environmental Program Award for its successful efforts in the conservation of genetic diversity of important germ-plasm and the farming lore of the ancestral cultures of the Southwest. John's book, Light On The Return Path, has been described by some as the best overall synopsis of the pertinent aspects of the Hopi Prophecy and its associated instructions for this time. And these days, he is one of the very few people permitted to spread the Hopi message.

Dr Carl Calleman |
We are currently in the ninth Mayan level of Love Consciousness – what does this mean for us and the world? Dr Carl Johan Calleman is probably best known for his view that October 28th, 2011 is the date when whatever is going to happen will happen, and not December 21st, 2012. As I’ve discussed a number of times now on my blog, Dr Calleman has developed a credible model or theory of the evolution of the universe, which consists of nine levels of consciousness. The ninth level, is the level of unity consciousness or love consciousness. On this call he speaks about these nine levels of consciousness, or underworlds as he sometimes calls them, and gives some examples to support his claims. He explains that the evolution from one level of consciousness to the next is the result of a cosmic plan where spiritual vibrational frequencies are gradually speeding up. Carl says that we have a choice to become active co-creators in how our world will develop. Keeping in mind that this interview was recorded in mid-2010 during the 8th level of consciousness; intuitionally, regarding what is now our current ninth level of consciousness (the ninth level began on March 6th, 2011), which is the level of unity and love consciousness, Carl believed that the spiritual energy would make it very difficult for lower consciousness systems and activities to continue. And we are certainly seeing that playing out in a very overt way, everyday, in the Middle East and North Africa, to name but two examples.
DR CARL CALLEMAN Needless to say, as one of the World’s leading authorities on the Mayan Calendar, he speaks on the subject throughout the world. He’s written 3 books on the topic. Solving the Greatest Mystery of our Time – The Mayan Calendar; The Mayan Calendar and the Transformation of Consciousness - this is my favourite book; and his latest book is called The Purposeful Universe: How Quantum Theory and Mayan Cosmology Explain the Origin and Evolution of Life.

Many perspectives on the 2012 era, the Mayan prophecies, increases in plasma on Earth and its effects on us, the I Ching, and so much more What a jam-packed call this was as far as information about 2012, the Mayan prophecies, and all related topics. Geoff spoke about the I Ching and how it is believed that it was originally a form of Lunar calendar showing changes from a Universal level down to sub-molecular levels. He also spoke about research that has been done indicating that between about 2011 – 2012 the Earth could experience a significant increase in levels of plasma from the sun, and how this could well affect our etheric body. From there, he spoke about crystals of magnetite, which can occur in our pineal gland, in our brains, and how this would be affected in the case of a geo-magnet reversal of the poles, that so many people speak about. Other topics included evidence that a magnetic polar reversal could occur within a 12 month period and not the thousands of years many scientists claim; and that we need to release our negative “stuff” buried in our non-consciousness minds if we are to move into the new Golden age. GEOFF STRAY Geoff is also the author of The Mayan and Other Ancient Calendars (2007); 2012 In Your Pocket (2009); and has written numerous articles for various magazines and has contributed an essay to the best-selling book, The Mystery of 2012. Geoff has given talks as far afield as Europe, North and South America, Scandinavia, as well as the UK. He has appeared in documentaries such as 2012:The Odyssey; Timewave 2013; 2012 An Awakening; 2012-Mayan Prophecy; and The Shift of the Ages. He lives in Glastonbury, UK.

A life-story of determination that you could well relate to; plus the thoughts of Wondering Wolf, the Grand Elder of the living Maya. Every day I receive messages from people concerned about the changes occurring to them on a personal level at this special time on our planet. And the first part of my talk with Joseph Giove is one you just might relate to. I certainly know that I could personally relate so closely to so much of what he had to share. If you’ve read my blog posts of my "Latest Spiritual Journey" you’ll know exactly why I say that. During the main part of the talk we moved on to Joseph’s regular trips to visit Grandfather Cirilo aka Wondering Wolf, the Grand Elder of the living Maya. During these trips, Joseph and his guests participate in the fire ceremonies, cave walks, and all the other regular spiritual ceremony and ritual that they have. Grandfather Cirilo explained that theirs was an oral tradition and so they couldn’t write about the ceremony in books. It was something that had to be experienced. And yet most people around the world would not be able to get there to participate. So Grandfather Cirilo and Joseph discussed how this experience could be made into a movie and the movie Shift of the Ages was born. The movie is a transformational, Shamanic experience, inspiring people to take action and connect with spiritual energies. It’s all about appealing to the heart in the present moment, not the intellect.
JOSEPH GIOVE The National Mayan Council of Indigenous Elders in Guatemala has an important message for the world. Their leader, Grandfather Cirilo, the protagonist of the Shift of the Ages film, discloses previously unavailable visions, concepts, and ancient prophecies. As well as being Executive Producer of the film, Joseph also sits on advisory boards for the Global Coherence Initiative at the HeartMath Institute; the Gaiafield Project; the Center for Subtle Activism at CIIS in San Francisco; and Project Peace on Earth. He is internationally known in the field of collective Many of these programs were based on key dates in the Mayan Calendar, and were developed jointly with Grandfather Cirilo and Dr. Carl Johan Calleman, who we spoke to last month.

Richard spoke about this time in the heavens as being a very unusual time, with many unusual configurations. He spoke about the possibility of the fracturing of social structures that we have become accustomed to, happening over the next 18 months. Richard gave the example of the talk of succession of a number of US states. What he was unaware of at the time of the call was the incredible fracturing of the social structures in the Arab countries, and North Africa. Again, as so many speakers have said, whatever happens on a global level will also happen to us on a personal level too.

What is really going on in the Gulf of Mexico with the BP oil spill? On this fascinating call with investigative reporter Michael Knight we spoke about the Gulf Oil crisis. Michael shared a lot of his research findings and also responded to many of the rumors, and BP - PR spin that was going around. An amazing way to let the world know about the special, spiritual work that you are doing On this call I spoke with James Welsh, primarily about the Common Passion Organization. However, I had to ask James if there was a conflict between his 'previous' life as a US Marine and the consciousness raising work that he is doing today with the Common Passion Organization and his own organization the Whole Being Health project. CommonPassion.org is a global social collaborative connecting people from all walks of life who share compassion as a common passion. It is a nonprofit, nonsectarian, educational, and scientific consortium dedicated to validating and applying the power of collective human intention through prayer, meditation and music to ease violence and suffering in local and global communities, and to help solve the persistent problems of humankind. When asked how it was possible for web technology and personal radiance to collaborate, James replied, "In my work and meditations I have witnessed a rising base potential of human consciousness. JAMES WELSH James began his career in the US Marine Corps, where he obtained expert knowledge of Electro-Optics; he learned how to be an excellent group leader and trainer; and he discovered that he had an aptitude for achieving physical well-being. He worked for the US Space Program and then on to Lockheed Martin where he furthered his skills in project management, training, and technology. It was at this time that he began to study of eastern philosophy, meditation, and yoga, which was the beginning of a future in consciousness and coherence technology development. As well as the work he does with Common Passion, he is also the founder of Whole Being Health, a project which implements Self-Assessment technology where individuals can track their progress within the dimensions of wellness (physical, emotional, spiritual, social, creative, experiential and environmental) and then empower themselves to lead fuller, healthier lives. How are genuine crop circles REALLY formed? Lucy shares the secrets Yes, another call on crop circles – I told you I have a passion for crop circle research. This time, however, I was honored to speak with one of, if not THE, top International Crop Circle/Formation researchers, Lucy Pringle. Lucy took a position to crop circles that I didn't quite expect, but which I found very interesting and certainly added credibility to all she said. She spoke about her great passion – researching the crop formations from the perspective of their power to heal all sorts of medical conditions. She also shares the discoveries she’s made during research with a scientist colleague that seems to be the most plausible explanation for how the genuine formations are made. This is REALLY interesting stuff.
LUCY PRINGLE Lucy works with scientists from all over the world; she is an author; and regularly appears on leading television and radio broadcasts, in many countries throughout the world speaking extensively on the crop circle phenomenon. The BBC recently produced a program of "Inside Out", which featured her research. Lucy is a Founder member of the Centre for Crop Circle Studies; is a Founder Member and Chairman of UNEX (Unexplained Phenomena Research Society); and is widely known and an international authority and the pioneer researcher into the effects of electromagnetic fields on living systems. This includes the physiological and psychological effects reported by people after visiting or being in the vicinity of a crop formation. She also investigates animal behavior, remote effects, luminosities, mechanical failures, and audio effects resulting from crop formations. Her research shows measured changes in human hormones following short exposure to the circles, as well as changes in brain activity. Her books include Crop Circles, the Greatest Mystery of Modern Times (1999); Crop Circles (2002); and Crop Circles, Art in the Landscape (2007).

A Very Well Known Crop Formation at Barbury Castle. What is it telling us? Find out now. On this call Australian researcher Trevor Ward explains the message that he deciphered in the high profile Barbury Castle (2008) crop circle in the UK. The message was a conformation of the great change that is with us, peaking out in 2013. He explained how the crop formation could be interpreted as supporting this time of transformation "where we will face a physical and spiritual awakening or crisis [depending on our perspective] that is unavoidable". One of the many messages found in the very precise location of the crop formation reminds us that it is up to us to choose the life path to follow at this time, and that we have the choice to be led, or misled, by others. Our talk today was based on a very impressive article that Trevor wrote for the excellent magazine New Dawn. The article, complete with all the pictures and diagrams of the crop formation, is also on the download page together with the audio of the interview. Trevor’s research is extremely impressive and substantiated every step of the way.
TREVOR WARD Trevor is an Australian researcher and writer and for more than 20 years has been studying metaphysics, and 'interpretative' sacred geometry, especially as it relates to crop circles, harmonics, and ancient structures. He says that his “strong interest in metaphysics and harmonics came about because of his dissatisfaction with what is being 'dished up' as so-called history that regards the Ancient ones as primitives". He is a man who, through the use of mathematics, geometry, analysis of ancient cultures and may other disciplines, has put interpretations on the messages that some of the genuine crop formations are attempting to get through to us. Trevor is a contributor to magazines including New Dawn magazine with articles on: "Sacred Geometry & the Great Pyramid" and the "Secret Message of Barbury Castle 2008-Pi".

Mayan Region – special tours with a special person Stefanie Baeker is one of those gentle and beautiful people who really walks her talk. Stefanie shares with us the wonderful work that she is doing by taking customized guided eco-tours to visit the Mayan regions. Whilst anyone is welcome to join her small group eco-tours, she also designs special trips for students, seniors, and those with special needs. This is an opportunity to listen to someone who has not only studied the Mayan culture and people, but someone who knows the people and the region first hand. Some of the things that I find so special about Stefanie includes her passion for nature, for fairness and justice, and for helping people with special needs who might otherwise miss out on things that those of us without "special needs" take for granted. Stefanie is also a skilled astrologer and on the call she spoke briefly about the benefits in having astrological readings done for the young children in our lives.

Here is the missing piece to the Law of Attraction and what Vedic Astrology says about this time This call is primarily about Vedic Astrology and so Bill explains the differences between Vedic Astrology and Western Astrology and then goes into some depth of the Vedic system and what it is telling us. Interestingly, he says that based on the Vedic system there are no major cataclysmic global events due for about 427,000 years. The Coded Message in the Tarot. Also, is a Galactic Super-wave on its way to wreak havoc on Earth? This is an amazing call that can be listened to many times and you’ll learn something new each time. Paul began by explaining how it was the Tarot that led him to decipher the riddle of the Egyptian Sphinx. He explained that the Tarot was originally a code left to us thousands of years ago to help us understand many ancient messages at a future time. He offered three possible ways the sophistication and complexity of the ancient monuments and mathematical calculations could have come to pass. They have to be more than just a fluke as so many people claim. And keep in mind that it is only in very recent times that our modern scientists and mathematicians have had the knowledge and intelligence to make these same calculations as were being made thousands of years ago. Paul also shares his alternative theory to the recognized Big Bang theory and explains why the Big Bang was just not possible. Finally he speaks of the dangers of a Galactic Superwave which, could emanate/has already emanated, from the Galactic Core. Interestingly, at the 13 minute mark there was a loud screech on the line - which I edited out - and for the first time in over 50 interviews I was disconnected and the lines dropped out.
DR PAUL LAVIOLETTE Dr LaViolette doesn't focus on 2012 as much as the geophysical and cosmological events that are [coincidently] happening on our planet at this time. It was by taking a systems approach to his research that Dr LaViolette, a physicist, came to link such seemingly diverse topics as Tarot Cards, the Zodiac, and the Sphinx to what is happening in our Galactic center. Dr LaViolette was the first person to make many cosmological predictions which have subsequently been confirmed by hard scientific data. One such prediction was that high intensity volleys of cosmic ray particles travel directly to our planet from distant sources in our Galaxy. He is also the co-developer of a theory which explains how the brain/mind forms creative thoughts. Dr John Jay Harper’s Final Public Conversation Tragically, 36 hours after this interview, John passed away. John covered so many areas on this call that are so very important to us all at this time on our planet. He explained some of the predicted geo-physical changes to the Earth; told stories about meta-physical and spiritual changes that have happened to him and others. And he also shared with us the importance of discovering and then letting go of any negative traumas &/or childhood imprints so that we can indeed move to the next level of consciousness with ease. Finally, he spoke about the importance of a healthy body before the electro-magnetic changes in consciousness take effect. Unbelievably, 36 hours later he was dead. Hearing about his death very shortly after it happened was one of the biggest and saddest shocks I’ve had in a long time.

Saving Energy Not Only Helps the Environment but it also helps YOUR bank account - a program to support your friends, community, and our Planet This audio is included in Elevate Your Consciousness Dr David Gershon spoke about what he considers is THE most urgent matter affecting the world today –the overuse of CO2. I first came to know David’s work about 20 years ago when I purchased a copy of one of his best-selling books called Empowerment. David explained how he has combined his work as a psychologist with his passion for the environment to help people change behaviors which have a negative effect on the environment. To that end, he has developed a series of little books, the main one being called Low Carbon Diet: A 30 Day program to Lose 5000 pounds. I just love that title. David explains how there will always be 15% of people who will probably never change. But all it takes is 15% to take action for a critical mass to evolve. He also explained that acting in a sustainable way is not necessarily the same as having a low carbon footprint.
DR. DAVID GERSHON He has lectured at Harvard, MIT, and Duke universities and served as an advisor to the Clinton White House and the United Nations on behavior change, community empowerment and sustainability issues, and has authored eleven books – many of which have won impressive awards and recognition. His clients include cities, government agencies, large organizations, and social entrepreneurs. David has addressed a wide diversity of issues, ranging from low carbon lifestyles, livable neighborhoods, and sustainable communities to organizational talent development and cultural transformation. Over the past thirty years the empowerment programs he has designed have won many awards, and a major academic research study described them as “unsurpassed in changing behavior.” David used this empowerment proficiency, in partnership with the United Nations Children’s Fund and ABC Television, to organize, at the height of the cold war, one of the planet’s first major global consciousness-raising initiatives—the First Earth Run. Building on his background as the Director of the Lake Placid Olympic Torch Relay, he used the mythic power of relaying a torch of peace around the world. This relay for peace project engaged the participation of twenty-five million people in sixty-two countries, the world’s political leadership, and, through the media, an estimated 20 percent of the planet’s population in an act of global unity. Millions of dollars were also raised as part of this event to help UNICEF provide care for the neediest children of the world.

Nyree explained that some, not all, shells and corals have a very powerful vibrational consciousness imprinted into their calcium. A Beautiful Man speaking on a Beautiful topic – Darwin’s Lost Theory of Love What a wonderful and beautiful man. I could have talked with him for hours. Yes, I’m talking about my guest Dr. David Loye who researched and wrote about Darwin’s Lost Theory – The Theory of Love. David was the 1st of 5 special guests that I specifically chose and invited to join me on Healthy Life Radio leading up to the launch of The Learning Loving and Laughing Project – now Raising Love Consciousness. I’m sure that everyone has heard of Charles Darwin’s famous Origin of the Species and “the survival of the fittest” theory. But did you realize that that is only HALF of Darwin’s theory on human evolution. Even Darwin himself got upset at the focus the world gave to the first half of his theory – survival of the fittest - whilst virtually completely ignoring what he considered the most important part of his theory, the 2nd part on the importance of love in our life. Darwin argued that we could not evolve as a species without love. How very true that is. Dr David Loye details his research into Darwin’s theory on love, and Darwin’s life in his book Darwin’s Lost Theory (2007) published by The Benjamin Franklin Press. David has set up “The Darwin Project” to promote the most important part of Darwin’s theory and research – on love.

In what became a classic case of going "up against the paradigm," he uncovered Darwin’s long ignored passionate case for moral evolution, rather than survival of the fittest, as the prime driver for human evolution. Stories about the man who introduced the topic of LOVE as an academic subject and won the heart of every student This audio is included in Elevate Your Consciousness This program was dedicated to the late Dr Leo Buscaglia. In the first part of the program, I spoke about the importance of love and my passion for the then forthcoming, Learning Loving and Laughing Project. I shared my story of a time, about 20 years ago, when I was presenting my program on Melbourne’s talk-radio 3AW, and thanks to a listener I was introduced to the work of Dr Leo Buscaglia. Not only did I love the book she gave me, but it, along with Dr Buscaglia’s other books, have influenced my life ever since. And after reading and re-reading Dr Buscaglia’s books many times, I knew that one day – somehow – I too wanted to teach the world about love, which is what I am now doing through Raising Love Consciousness. In the second part of the program I spoke to Steven Short. Seeing as Dr Buscaglia could not be with us in person, there was no one better to share “Leo stories” than Steven Short, who worked and travelled with Dr Buscaglia for nearly 20 years and who was the editor of Dr Buscaglia’s book that began this journey of mine. Steven told us of the event that inspired Dr Buscaglia to devote the last 28 odd years of his life to teaching the world about “LOVE”. He also shared some of the very thought provoking questions that Dr Buscaglia would explore with his students.

E A T I N G your way to sustainability In this interview Dr Wendy Sarkissian and I shared a number of stories and certainly spoke about sustainability. The sustainability stories Wendy shares are those related to her latest book Kitchen Table Sustainability co-authored by Nancy Hofer, Yollana Shore, Steph Vajda, and Cathy Wilkinson. The book shares personal stories, combined with professional and academic knowledge, and practical action steps, demonstrating a “heartfelt care for communities and the Earth”. Wendy introduced us to the EATING principles, which are a feature of Kitchen Table Sustainability. Education Action– Trust– Inclusion–Nourishment–Governance. The EATING principles will guide us to a community approach to sustainability. I first met Wendy when I was a Doctoral student at The University of Queensland. She came to my university and gave a talk about some of her life experiences that led her to write her own Doctoral thesis. There were so many similarities between Wendy’s life and her passion for nature and for storytelling, and my own life and passions that I made sure that I got to know her. And we’ve been friends ever since.
DR WENDY SARKISSIAN Her career as consultant and academic in Australia and overseas has provided first hand knowledge of many contexts, from developers’ boardrooms to low-income housing estates. Building a career as a social planning consultant, when there was no such discipline, she has pioneered innovative planning and development approaches in a wide variety of contexts and has authored many books on these topics. She is committed to finding inspirational and spirited ways to nurture and support an engaged citizenry.

Real Life Stories of Special Leaders in Action Dr Ed Poole is known as The Lesson Guy, a man who writes books of short stories on real life-lessons. On this call we talk about his book Lessons from Empowering Leaders. Ed put the book together after interviewing a range of “empowering leaders”, of whom I was honored to be one. The stories are of ways we handled different situations in an empowering or inspiring way. As well as speaking about the book, we also covered a range of things including Ed’s story of how he developed his love of storytelling.

Find out about some great gadgets you can get for your home to help the environment This call was a little different to most of my interviews. It came about after I received my latest Habitat Magazine. Habitat is the official magazine of one of Australia’s leading environmental groups – the Australian Conservation Foundation (ACF). The magazine had an insert from the Environment Shop in Melbourne. It was a catalogue of the most wonderful range of environmental products for sustainable living. As soon as I saw it, I thought, ‘that’s what I’ll do on the show next week. I’ll talk to someone from the environment shop about a number of these different products.” And so that’s what I did. I spoke to “Bond, Jason Bond”, who knew so much about all of the products. Off air he said, “this is just like talking to a customer and having to explain what the different products are all about”. It was great fun, and we all learned a lot. This is how you can ENJOY a Personally Sustainable Lifestyle On this call Tambra Harck, founder of Soulful Living by Design, began by sharing with us her incredibly diverse education in life, spiritual, and consciousness-raising studies. As a result of these studies she asked herself a really powerful question. “How can I use all of this to help others?” Initially, the answer was to help people discover how their soul can be linked with the environment in which they live or work. And so at the time of the interview, she was helping people uncover, not what they want to HAVE in a room, or house, or work environment, but what FEELINGS and EXPERIENCE they want to enjoy. She was then able to recommend the best way that they can enjoy those feelings and experiences. And that really is what Personal SUSTAINABLE living and a personally sustainable lifestyle is all about. During the call, Tambra took me through a very brief exercise to demonstrate the sort of work that she does. And I was amazed at her results. In more recent times, she has followed an even deeper calling and is now mentoring women on a spiritual journey.

Find out what it means to have a spiritual USP in your business so that you can run your business from a spiritual and soul perspective Yollana Shore is truly one of those genuine, beautiful, sensitive, and caring souls. In this call she speaks about her organization called Soul Business. Yollana first explains the connection between “soul” and “business”. We go on to speak about a move from a competitive-based business model to a co-operative business model and she explains that it is really bigger than that. She says, that we need to align ourselves with our competitors. I first “discovered” Bob Doppelt in about 2003, not long after his first book, Leading Change Toward Sustainability, was published. That book became a major sustainability resource for me when I was an academic teaching MBA students about sustainability. So I knew that his next book, The Power of Sustainable Thinking was going to be a must-read. And I was right. This interview started out as a normal one-off talk with social scientist Bob Doppelt. However, by about the 3rd segment of the show it became evident to me that we’d never cover everything that I wanted to cover with this very special guest. The Fascinating Story about Recycling Scrap Metal to make Beautiful pieces of New Fine Jewelry Ben Manning has always had a great concern for our environment. However, he started out as a traditional jeweler. Then some years ago, whilst living in England, he felt that there must be a more environmentally friendly and sustainable way to produce jewelry. Ben tells us how he combined his love of, and concern for, nature; with his talents as the maker of fine jewelry. He told us all about how he’s developed a technique for making 'recycled', sustainable, environmentally-friendly jewelry. Yes recycled jewelry, not remodeling second hand jewelry. He is actually turning waste metals into brand new jewelry.
BEN MANNING Ben and his wife, Lindy, spent a few years working and travelling the world during which time he was able to research the jewelry industry and its impacts on the environment in quite some depth. What he found shocked him and left him disappointed in his industry. Ben says " Lindy and I witnessed first-hand the huge strain our earth was under from human intervention and believed it was time for change. There had to be a better, safer, and cleaner way of making jewelry. My search began and the seed for Utopian Creations was sown". Ben’s organization, Utopian Creations, began its life in 2005 as Australia's first fine and fashion eco-friendly jewelry company. Over the past 6 years, he’s completed over 100 commissioned wedding and engagement rings, all using eco-friendly materials and practices. "We began our journey to help the Earth", he says, "and are able to continue our work thanks to our caring customers, friends, and family". As well as making a range of ”recycled” jewelry with distribution outlets in a number of countries including Australia, USA, and Japan; Ben Manning also teaches other jewelers his sustainable techniques.

How single-minded determination and faith made a dream come true that is now changing lives Richard Zoomers speaks about his single-minded determination and absolute faith in developing the Wild Mountain Trust/Retreat, which is an independent, community focused, non-profit organization providing leadership in environmental education and conservation. Even if we set aside the environmental factor, this is a very inspirational interview. Richard speaks of how Wild Mountains began with just the purchase of a large plot of land, and over the years, with the help of the community, he has built it into a special retreat supporting nature and a sustainable way of living. Wild Mountains, is a great description for this wonderful environmental retreat in the Wild Border Ranges in SE Queensland, Australia, near the border of New South Wales. Some years ago, I lived on the western side of these border ranges and they are certainly magnificent – but Oh so cold in winter.
RICHARD ZOOMERS Richard was born in the Netherlands and came to Australia in 1959. After leaving school he spent 3 years studying Graphic Design, and then worked in advertising. In the 1980s be became involved in various conservation groups and their various campaigns. He is an associate of the Institute of Earth Education; co-founder of the Logan and Albert Conservation Association; and a community consultative committee member of the World Heritage Gondwana Rainforest of Australia. In 1986 he co-founded the Wild Mountains Trust and Retreat where he now lives and works bringing his dream to fruition.

What is a Sustainable Garden, and how do you Design, Construct, and Maintain it? Find out more in this special interview In this interview, I speak to the authors of one of the best practical books on sustainability that I’ve seen. The book is called Sustainable Gardens. And the authors are Rob Cross and Roger Spencer who are both long time staff members with the Royal Botanic Gardens in Melbourne. We spoke about the most wonderful diagrammatic illustrations found in the book that clearly show, in picture form, how the main systems affecting the earth work. These include: (1) energy from the sun and emissions, (2) water, (3) materials such as waste products, (4) food, and (5) biodiversity/ecology. Rob and Roger also spoke about the connections between human activity, resource depletion, and environmental degradation and the 3 main elements of a good sustainable garden – (1) Design, (2) Construction, and (3) Maintenance.
DR ROB CROSS & DR ROGER SPENCER Rob Cross is also a Horticultural botanist. However, he began by studying microbiology and biochemistry and worked in the area of medical sciences. Later he turned to agriculture and horticulture and during the 1980s Rob developed a landscape maintenance and design business and also worked in a retail nursery. In 1987 Rob joined the staff of the Royal Botanic Gardens Melbourne working in Horticultural Botany, Information Systems and Planning, and from 1994 Rob has been undertaking horticultural research in Plant Sciences and Biodiversity. Rob has co-authored and also contributed to a number of books and written many peer-reviewed journal articles.

The secrets to becoming a good storyteller This audio is included in Elevate Your Consciousness Doug Lipman is recognized as one of the World’s leading storytelling teachers and coaches and he was one of my storytelling mentors going back many years. On this call, Doug tells the engaging story of how he became a storyteller and then goes on to share why stories can be so powerful, and various techniques that will give a story the greatest impact. Doug also suggests that it is just as important to have a conceptual (left-brain) component to a story, as well as the right-brain story component when communicating. He says that to use just one of these components is like trying to walk with just one leg.
Doug has also taught storytelling to scores of organizations, such as: The Jet Propulsion Lab (NASA); The World Bank;The Center for Creative Leadership; and MADD (Mothers Against Drunk Driving). And of course has coached many professional storytellers, to help them improve their storytelling abilities and also their storytelling-marketing skills. Doug told his first story to a room filled with emotionally disturbed adolescent boys. They began with their arms folded and sneers on their faces. A few seconds into the story, they fell into a listening trance.
